Sometimes we forget to stop and smell the roses when it comes to the business world. Things move quickly. Q1 becomes July. And deadlines come racing towards you faster than you thought.

This weekend is Memorial Day. A day to remember those that have gone before us and fought for our country. For some, it is the kickoff to summer weather. For others, it is the Buffalo Marathon. That weekend where all of the training the participants put in during the winter, is about to be put to the test.

For us, we are excited to realize the unveiling of the new Buffalo Marathon branding. More than a logo, the branding has touched things that will be everywhere. From email blasts to finish lines and medals and merchandise. The identity program that has been developed is a great way to help elevate the race from a local event to a national and even international destination.

We are so happy to have been part of the process. The identity is the head of a racing buffalo and also the shape of a B for our home town. The look and feel of the race is patriotic and borrows the red, white and blue motif to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend. We can’t wait for the race to begin. To take it all in and see that we had something to do with its success.

We are going to stop and smell the roses, of course, that is because we aren’t racing either. Happy Memorial Day. Thank you to our veterans. And good luck to the runners.
